How did everyone find out about Grizzly Bear?

Thought this might be an interesting topic to see how everyone came across Grizzly Bear. I'm a fairly new fan, my friend first showed my Two Weeks back in February or so. I had never heard of them before that. I've been addicted ever since.

I'm actually also a really huge Beirut fan and I remember seeing that one video where Zach Condon does a drunken version of Knife and I thought it was really adorable. In the 'related videos' section on youtube, I saw the real video, ended up loving. Then buying the albums. Then going to the shows. <3

My friend was looking up grizzly bear attacks on youtube last January. He sent me a link to them. I didn't like anything except Knife at first, then I heard St. Vincent would be touring with them later in the year so I gave em a full listen. Love everything now.

Last June I was watching some random music channel at 4 or 5 in the morning and the Two Weeks music video played and I started listening to their other songs and now they're my favorite band.

I also heard of them through Beirut. I had heard Zach mention liking their music in a couple interviews, and saw Ed singing Cliquot in Beirut's Take Away for Flying Club Cup, so I thought 'Might as well check these guys out' so I watched Grizz's Take Away show and I've been hooked ever since.

radiohead asking them to open for them. now i'm wishing leg 1 of the in rainbows tours got gb instead of liars. liars were good, but i want to see gb live

though i really got into them recently when i played "while you wait for the others" while djing on my college radio.

through Beirut my sophomore year of high school. I was clicking on all of Beirut's top friend pages on myspace to check out similar music. ze rest is history.

I found out about them shortly before Veckatimest leaked. A friend said, "Hey, you gotta check this band out. They have a new album coming out. Listen to "yellow house". So I did. And then I was hooked. And then Veckatimest leaked and my world exploded.
